At the age of twelve Dézi was a member of “Maccabi Hatzair” and later joined the “Habonim” movement. She assisted refugees from Poland who found a hiding place in her family house on 45, Hársfa Street in Budapest before moving to another place or leaving for Romania. Dézi obtained documents from the offices of the Hungarian Population Registry. She was sent to the Gestapo headquarters in Buda in order to help the prisoners there. Dézi was also sent to country towns in order to find hiding places in case there was a need for them. She left Hungary on the train of the Relief and Rescue Committee to Bergen-Belsen and from there to Switzerland.
Dézi made aliya and she is a member of Kibbutz Givat Brenner.
